Concert Opportunities
Instruction in the musical arts may be experienced on many levels. Students learn to gauge their own level of play, and to appreciate the talents of other performing groups, by attending events and concerts offered throughout the local area. Because this is an integral part of the learning process, students are required to attend 2 concert performances each semester as part of the band grade. The Moultrie News, the Post & Courier, and the web links on this site are all good sources of dates for community band events, and most of them are open and free to the public. You are encouraged to attend as many local performances as possible; it's a great way to experience the musical arts and gain an appreciation for musical talent of all levels. Please submit a concert evaluation form and a concert program, or suitable substitute, to receive proper credit for this requirement.
