All-County Clinic and Concert
The All-County clinic and concert is this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 5th and 6th. Wando High School is privileged to host the All County Clinic again this year. Seated students and alternates should report to the Wando band room Friday afternoon as soon as school is out. The clinic runs from 4 - 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday from 9 - 12 and 1 - 4. There will be a concert on Saturday night at 7:30 in the Wando Performing Arts Center.
Percussion Ensemble Rehearsal Schedule
- Tuesday, Jan. 16: 3:45 - 5 p.m.
- Monday, Jan. 22: 3:45 - 5 p.m.
- Monday, Jan. 29: 3:45 - 5 p.m.
- Monday, Feb. 5: 3:45 - 5 p.m.
- Monday, Feb. 12: 3:45 - 5 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb. 14: 3:45 - 5 p.m. DRESS REHEARSAL
Cario Bands Together Coat Drive Wrapped Up
We had our first community service project, the fall coat drive, wrap up right before the break and it was a very successful drive. Thanks to all the students that worked hard to collect over 200 coats, sweatshirts, and winter items to donate to East Cooper Community Outreach to help local families in need. Great job, guys and gals -- look for information on our next service project coming up in February -- a book drive for MUSC's Childrens Hospital library.
Congratulations to Mr. Scott!
Mr. Scott, after a long year of hard work, received his National Board certification last month. Not only are our budding musicians committed to "excellence through music" but so is our band director who strives to continue to provide the best in music education in Charleston County. Congratulations, Mr. Scott!
All-Region Auditions
Mark your calendars for the all-region auditions. They will be held Saturday, January 20 at Summerville High School. Check the website for audition details. Audition times should be posted on the website by tomorrow evening.
