Announcements for the Week Ending February 9, 2007
1. As some of you may have heard (Mr. Scott made an announcement to some of the students today), Nan Jenkins is in the hospital. While ably serving as our co-president, she has been dealing with some health issues this year. Mr. Scott will have a basket on his desk should anyone wish to send in a card or note for Nan.
2. Jazz and Percussion Concert
There is a jazz and percussion concert scheduled for this coming Tuesday, February 13th, at 7pm in the gym. Call time for the concert is 6:15.
3. Spring Fundraiser
Next week will be the kick-off of the spring fundraiser. This year we will be selling flowers and Enjoy the City coupon books. If you can help with passing out the fundraising packets to the students on Wednesday, February 14th, please contact Tara Hyatt at fundraising@cariobands.org.
4. Florida payments
The final Florida payment is due by February 15th. If your child is going on the trip, please make sure that your account is paid. Money in the student account from the spring fundraiser can also be applied toward the trip.
5. Carowinds
The beginner band will be attending the Carowinds Music Festival on May 12, 2007. An itinerary and registration form has been sent home. The cost is $80 and the initial deposit of $40 and the registration form are due by February 15th, with the final payment of $40 due by March 15th. Student account money may be used for this trip.
6. Box Tops
Be sure to continue sending in your box tops. The spring deadline to redeem them is quickly approaching.
