Announcements for May 24, 2007
The information below applies to parents of 8th graders who will be playing the Wando Band next year
- There will be a parent orientation tonight for rising 9th grade band students in the Wando band room at 7pm.
- Last month a presentation was made to your 8th grade student in band class regarding Wando Band Stadium Sign sales. The Wando Band Boosters put this program in place specifically to give students a chance to pay for their band fees before even entering school so that the cost would not be a burden to families. Students are encouraged to use this opportunity to sell stadium signs to local businesses. Each sign sold equates to a $225.00 reduction in overall band fees!

Additionally, a lottery was held and many Cario Band Students were awarded an opportunity to renew an already established Stadium Sign from a senior at Wando High School. This is a huge gift!!!!
Packets containing all the necessary information and forms were distributed to lottery winners along with a presentation from us encouraging them to take advantage of this opportunity to renew a stadium sign already established. While there are no guarantees of a business renewing, this fabulous opportunity should not be overlooked.
As of this date, none of these contact forms or renewals have come back to Wando. Ask your student if he/ she received a packet and take advantage of this opportunity to substantially reduce your band fees by contacting the business indicated on this packet and sending in a contact card or renewal form right away. After May 31st, these signs are up for grabs.
