Announcements For Week of November 19, 2007

Fruit orders

The fruit orders were due to band room last Friday. If your child has not yet turned in their order, please make sure it is dropped off to the band room no later than Tuesday morning, November 20th. There has been some confusion in the past few days with the All Sports Days going on and the students not having band classes. If you have any questions, please write to Alison at fundraising@cariobands.org.

Pies

Thank you so much to those of you that came out on Friday to pick up your orders. It is extremely important that the pies get picked up on time as volunteers have to scramble to find freezer space for pies not picked up (and you know that some of the pies are rather large)- so your cooperation is very much appreciated. If you find that you did not receive the correct pies to match your order, please contact Alison at 813-5540.

All-County Auditions

The times for the all-county auditions are not available yet. When they do become available, Mr. Scott will post them in the band room and I will post them on the website. For your information, the times are not controlled by us at all and there is no way to make a request for a specific time.

Coat Drive

The response has been great so far....thank you!!! The coat drive is still going on until early next week. Please make sure to send in your gently used coats and sweaters to the box at the band room or front office.

Thank You Lists

A list of contributors that donated to the Cario Bands Together for Kids campaign in your student's name will be handed out to each student just after Thanksgiving break. The Band Booster Board is sending thank-you letters to contributors near the end of December for tax purposes, but we hope that your student will also send a note or email or make a call to thank those friends and family that were so generous. This year was a great success with us surpassing the budgeted goal!

Florida deposits

The $50 deposit for the 7th & 8th grade Florida trip is due in the band room by December 1st. This deposit will hold a place for your child and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Checks should be made out to "Cario Band Boosters" and you should write your child's name & FL Trip on the memo line. Please refer to the band handbook and Mr. Scott's letter about the trip for grades and behavior that must be maintained to participate in the trip.

Band Payments

The final band fee installment is due by November 20th. If you are using proceeds from the pie/fruit fundraiser toward your band fees, they will be credited next week. If you are not fundraising, then the fee should be paid in full this week. Any questions on that can be directed toward the treasurer at treasurer@cariobands.org.
