Announcements For the Week of January 7, 2008
All-County Band
Congratulations to the band students who participated in the All-County Clinic and Concert. They all did a fantastic job!!!
Symphonic Rehearsals
The symphonic band rehearsals are due to begin next Monday, January 14th at 7:30am.
All-Region Band Auditions
The All-Region Band auditions are this coming Saturday at Summerville High School. The times are posted on the website. Please be on time for your audition and bring music in its original book. The dress code is casual plus classy...khakis or very nice jeans with a nice shirt (with or without tie) for the boys and nice pants or skirt for the girls. T-shirts, shorts, tennis shoes, and flip-flops are not acceptable attire. Results will be posted on the website as soon as possible. Mr. Scott will send home more details later this week so be sure to check with your child for the flyer.
Fundraising Split
Due to the success of the letter writing campaign and the fall fundraisers, the fundraising split has been changed to 75% of the profits going to the student accounts and 25% to the general band fund. This is an increase from the planned 65%/35% split. The proceeds for the pie and fruit fundraisers have been applied to the student accounts.
Student Account Statements
The student account statements will be sent out later this week. Please watch your e-mail for those. If you are not planning to participate in the spring fundraising (details will be coming out about those fundraisers soon), then your child's band fees should be fully paid at this point.
Lollipops
Those yummy lollipops will be on sale this Thursday and Friday in the Cario cafeteria lobby during lunches.
Disney Trip
If you child will be going on the spring Disney trip, your $50 deposit should have already been turned in and the first installment payment of $100 is due by January 15th. Proceeds from the spring fundraising can also be applied to the trip balance.
Box Tops
Don't forget to keep clipping those box tops and Campbell's labels.
