Important Uniforms Updates

6th grade band students will be receiving their black uniform pants and black polos in class in a few weeks.  The pants were purchased by the students' parents at Stagecoach Clothing Store and students were asked to try on the pants to ensure a proper fit. Stagecoach has placed the order and the Uniform Chairperson will deliver the pants to the students in class.  Anyone who did not order is expected to visit Stagecoach to see if they will have the proper size available. The black polos (included in band fees) have also been ordered and will be delivered to the students with the black pants.

7th and 8th grade boys who needed to exchange tux items should have done so already.  The new order will arrive on Monday.  If you used Margo Gray for hemming and alterations, please check with her directly on when you can expect the work to be completed.  She can be reached at 884-0399.    Question? Please contact Mary Dinda at 843-849-6801 or at uniforms@cariobands.org .

Practice Charts

Every Friday since school started, your child has been required to turn in a practice chart ( which can be found on the website) detailing the required amount of practice he or she has been doing. Mr. Scott has informed us that less than 50% of the entire band has turned in these required assignments. Please be aware that a parent's signature is required on each sheet that is turned in. Also, please be aware that these assignments are a substantial part of the students overall band grade. Mr. Scott has told us that this will be reflected on the upcoming report cards. It is each child's responsibility to get these signed and turned in. As a reminder, the 6th grade Woodwinds and Brass are required to practice a minimum of 75 minutes per week. All of the 7th and 8th grade bands are required to practice a minimum of 150 minutes per week.

Have a great week!
