Wow, what great performances at the Lowcountry Invitational! If you attended, please remember to fill out a Concert Evaluation Form and turn it in to Mr. Scott. Don't forget to attach the LCI program.
Lollipops
It's that time again. The lollipops will be on sale in the cafeteria this Thursday and Friday during the lunch periods. Watch for some new yummy flavors!
Pie/Fruit Fundraiser
This popular fall fundraiser will begin on Oct. 15th. Packets will be distributed during class. Parents and students, here is your opportunity to supplement your band account. A percentage of the profits from your student's sales for these two fundraisers will be deposited in your student's account for band fees and trips. The pies are very yummy and the fruit is sweet and beautiful. The pies will arrive in time for Thanksgiving so plan ahead!
All County, Region and All State Audition Registration
Your student will be given a registration form in class in the next few days. Please check the dates of the auditions and associated clinics carefully to avoid conflicts. This form must be signed by a parent and returned to Mr. Scott. If your student registers for an audition, it is mandatory that they attend the audition and if they are chosen to be a member of the county, region or state band, the associated clinic as well.
SmartMusic
With a few exceptions, all students should have received a SmartMusic cd in class. Please load this onto your home computer and follow the onscreen instructions to activate your subscription. Assignments in SmartMusic will begin shortly. In the meantime, please watch the instructional videos available to familiarize yourself with using SmartMusic.
CCSD Medical Forms
We now have approved medical forms to distribute. Please download and complete the CCSD Medical Forms, complete both pages and have them notarized. They can then be turned in to the band room. This is the remaining form that comprises the required forms for band students.
Beach Sweep Service Hours
If you participated in the Sullivan's Island Beach Sweep on Sept. 19th, please be sure to turn in the certificate you received from the park ranger at the Fort Moultriecheck-in to Mr. Scott. This will ensure you receive credit for service hours to be used towards honor band.
Coat Drive
Now that the weather is getting colder....oh, wait, it isn't yet....but it will. The second community service project from our letter writing campaign will be a coat drive, so please remember this when you clean out your closets this fall. Watch for details to come.
BoxTops 4 Education and Campbell's Labels
A reminder that we are continuing to collect BoxTops and Campbell's labels. Eligible BoxTops can be found on Pillsbury & Yoplait products, ChexMix, PopSecret, Old El Paso products, Ziploc, Cottonelle, Scott, and Kleenex products.
